In 1847, Louis-François Cartier founded the Maison Cartier in Paris after 10 years of apprenticeship in a jewelry workshop. Louis Cartier, the grandson of Louis-François, was the most emblematic person of the brand, he is also the creator of certain emblematic creations, such as: Tank, Santos, platinum coins and others. In 1910, Louis Cartier met his muse and collaborator, Jeanne Toussaint, nicknamed "La Panthère" because of his strong and daring personality.
